Sculptor /Biologist Arno Goossens (1960) works in his studio in Apeldoorn in the Netherlands on realistic sculptures. Animals are mostly the theme of his sculptures. The memories of an encounter is what he tries to register in his sculptures. It Is not his intention to duplicate the morphology of the animal, but more to capture its character and behaviour. He puts the animals in such a pose that the animals seem to move when you turn away. And in a way there is also some humor in the scultpures.
